Hi, how are you?

Hi, I am very well thank you very much.

So, how did you get into music?

I was born into a family that loves music, my mum has always been in the choir. She sings every morning while doing housework and sometimes we join in. And my dad loves old skool rap and RnB. We used to have hundreds of cassette tapes and a lot of the time when I got back from school I’d put in a take and just sing or rap with my sister and me.

How did ‘Prayed Up’ come about?

When I first heard the beat, produced by Rujay, ( big shout out to luxraybeats) immediately I felt like the bars were just at the tip of my tongue. And I wrote it in less time than it would normally take me.

What were the challenges of making ‘Prayed Up’?

I think the challenges I encountered was recording. Considering I haven’t been to the studio for a recording session since 2011, it was slightly nerve-racking, my vocal was all over the place. Thanks to my sound engineer Zachary Nailor, CEO of Winter Road Studio, he was very patient with me, and it was a pleasure working with him; in fact, I still do.

What are your plans for 2019?

I am very very hopeful for 2019. I have a few a few unreleased records which will be dropping in 2019. I will be working with some artists in Nigeria and South Africa as well and am hoping to drop a mixtape later in the year, but that will be announced closer to the time.
