Joining us for an interview is the wonderful Criss Marron.

Hi, how are you?

Excited for the next four questions that you’re about to ask me!

So, how did you get into music?

I got into music since when I was a little kid while observing my mama giving singing lessons to other young singers in my hometown. My mama also used to play the piano a lot and immediately this grabbed my attention…

How did ‘jaguar marron’ come about?

“Jaguar” came about because there was a huge “jaguar picture” hanging on the wall in the living room of the house, and I remember staring at this beautiful animal while my mother was playing the piano. The piano was located under this beautiful image. The “Jaguar” is also an animal who has enough patience to wait for the right momentum before jumping over the right opportunities and this is certainly a skill that I can apply on my own career and life opportunities. Marron is part of my real name so, it’s always been there!

What were the challenges of making it?

Challenges? Oh my God so many of those and still counting… especially as a “woman in the industry”; but I am happy to say that every challenge has given me a huge lesson and because of this every time my vision gets wider, more open and clear!

What are your plans for 2019?

My plans for 2019 are to continue releasing new songs and music videos, connecting more with the audience who understand the music the feeling and the mindset, but also I am thinking about the release of my first solid and professional EP which I still don’t have details about.
